YourPsyche.org is dedicated to two mutually compatible goals.
First, we strive to educate the public about psychological theory and research, and to help people discover insights into what makes people tick. To this end we provide detailed information and feedback for all the studies on this website. We sincerely hope that this information will help you better understand yourself, as well as other people.
Second, we hope to generate new insights into human thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Like many other people, we are intensely curious about why people hold the beliefs they do, and why people behave as they do. We believe that understanding the human psyche is both intrinsically interesting and practically important, and we are committed to doing all we can to advance the science of psychology.
We believe that our twin goals of education and the discovery of new knowledge go hand-in-hand. We see this website as a collaboration with our users. Users can contribute by taking the time to participate in the studies available on this website, and in return we provide detailed information about the results we obtain. Psychological knowledge is too important to be locked away in dusty academic journals. We want to share our findings with you directly, and we hope the information we provide will be valuable to you.
